Profile Summary

I have a PhD in computational fluid dynamics, and I build simulation infrastructure rather than operating off-the-shelf tools. My specialty is developing custom multiphase solvers in OpenFOAM (C++) to model flow physics that commercial packages can't capture, spanning Euler–Lagrange particle tracking, drift-flux modeling, evaporation dynamics, and buoyancy-driven transport. My doctoral research centers on a solver I developed from the ground up, which couples Euler–Lagrange droplet tracking with κ-Köhler evaporation theory and buoyancy-driven flow to simulate respiratory aerosol transport. The work required extending OpenFOAM's PIMPLE pressure–velocity framework and validating the model against experimental data, a bespoke solver development that few professionals undertake. Alongside the simulation core, I work at the intersection of CFD and machine learning, building ML-accelerated surrogate models and digital twins that compress full-physics simulations into real-time-capable tools. My focus is on Virtual Flow Metering and flow assurance for industrial flow applications, particularly in subsea and offshore production, where direct measurement is costly and physics-based inference offers real commercial value. I run this work on HPC infrastructure, building and parallelizing simulation pipelines for large multiphase problems.
