Profile Summary

I am an Applied Mathematics and Physics student with experience in numerical modelling, scientific computing, and the analysis of large simulation datasets. My work focuses primarily on using computational methods to investigate complex physical systems and extract quantitative insights from high-dimensional data. I have strong experience with MATLAB and Python for data analysis, numerical simulation, and scientific visualisation, as well as familiarity with Julia for implementing finite element and finite difference methods. My mathematical background includes numerical and analytical methods for differential equations, computational modelling of time-dependent and steady-state systems, and simulation-based analysis. My physics training includes applying computational and analytical techniques to problems in classical physics, electromagnetism, quantum mechanics, thermal physics, and special relativity. During my undergraduate research project, I analysed large displacement fields from simulations of amorphous materials under a shearing protocol in the X–Z plane, and used a Kolmogorov-like theory of turbulence to characterise topological defects. This work involved identifying regime changes in complex systems, applying a variety of numerical analysis techniques, and validating results against known theoretical benchmarks. The project strengthened my numerical analysis skills in MATLAB and my scientific communication skills through technical reporting in LaTeX. Skills I offer: - Scientific data analysis using preferably MATLAB, but also Python or Julia - Debugging code in MATLAB - Numerical modelling of physical or engineering systems - Simulation data processing and visualisation - Implementation of finite element or finite difference methods - Analysis of displacement fields, flow fields, or spatial datasets - Preparation of technical reports and figures in LaTeX I am very interested in projects involved with mathematical modelling and physics. I am comfortable working with complex numerical workflow communicating results in reports using mathematical typesetting software such as LaTeX.
