Profile Summary

I am a Water Resources Engineer and Hydrologist with advanced academic training and over 10 years of international experience in groundwater hydrology, hydrologic modeling, environmental engineering, and water resources management. My work spans consulting, academic research, and applied engineering projects across Central Asia, South Asia, and the United States, including my current role collaborating with the United States Department of Agriculture – Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS). My expertise includes groundwater modeling, watershed and hydrologic analysis, hydraulic assessment, and environmental sustainability. I have developed and applied simulation models using tools such as MODFLOW, WEAP, HEC-HMS, and MATLAB to evaluate groundwater systems, assess aquifer sustainability, and support water infrastructure planning and design. My current research focuses on integrating hydrologic modeling and advanced data-driven approaches to evaluate groundwater responses to recharge and irrigation practices, supporting sustainable aquifer management. I have contributed to major water resources projects, including hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, infrastructure planning and design, and preparation of technical reports and engineering specifications. My work has supported basin-scale water planning, climate change impact assessment, and development of sustainable water management strategies. I also served as Director of the National Water and Environmental Research Center, where I led research programs, coordinated multidisciplinary teams, and worked with international organizations and stakeholders.
