Profile Summary

I am a Clean Energy and Sustainability Researcher with over a decade of experience in renewable energy systems modelling, industrial decarbonization, and climate-smart policy integration. I hold dual PhDs in Renewable Energy Technology and Agricultural Processing Engineering, supported by an MSc in Energy Management. My research spans solar, biomass, and hybrid energy systems, focusing on performance optimization, techno-economic evaluation, and life-cycle assessment. Current work includes the modelling and optimization of photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) heat-pump hybrid systems for industrial heating and the stochastic modelling of biomass fuel-mix economics for tea-factory boilers in Kenya. I am proficient in MATLAB, Python, SPSS, AMOS, and Excel, and experienced in Exploratory and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (EFA/CFA), Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), regression, and scenario analysis. My analytical strengths are complemented by certifications in Power-to-X (PtX) green hydrogen technologies, OSeMOSYS energy modelling, and Climate Compatible Growth (CCG) policy tools. As a Tutorial Fellow at Kenyatta University, I teach and supervise research in Thermodynamics, Energy Management, and Project Planning. I also mentor young scientists through initiatives such as the Women in Clean Cooking (SEforALL/GWNET) and Accelerating Women’s Empowerment in Energy (AWEE) programs.
