Profile Summary

I am a highly experienced ultrasound engineer with a PhD in Physics/Ultrasound Imaging. I have over 10 years of experience in the ultrasound industry, working in a variety of roles, including ultrasound transducer architect, R&D engineer, senior ultrasound physicist, and laboratory responsible. In my previous role as ultrasound transducer architect for GE Healthcare, I was responsible for the design and development of ultrasound transducers. I have expert knowledge of the KLM model and finite element modelling, and I have used these skills to develop transducers for a variety of applications. I also have experience in the development of ultrasound imaging systems. As an R&D engineer for Carestream, I developed a high frequency ultrasound imaging system prototype. I used my skills in T/X analog electronic design, CAD design, 3D printing, acoustic material characterization, ultrasound beam modeling and characterization, signal and image processing algorithms, and project management to bring this project to fruition. I am also a qualified ultrasound physicist. I have worked as a senior ultrasound physicist for Novosound in Glasgow, and as a laboratory responsible/ultrasound physicist for Hologic Supersonic Imagine Center Of Excellence. In these roles, I have been responsible for the quality assurance of ultrasound systems ouput and the development of ultrasound protocols. I am proficient in a variety of software and computing environment, including Matlab, spyder, COMSOL, PZFlex/Onscale, Linux, Python, C++, I-simpa, Solidworks and SQL... I am also familiar with a number of medical standards, including NEMA UD2, NEMA UD3, IEC xxxxxxxxxx, IEC 62359, IEC 62127-1, ACT Accreditation, FDA (501k), ISO 13485, and ISO 9001.
