Profile Summary

I have over 30 years of research experience in biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, biotechnology, and nutrition. My main interest lies in the value-adding biodiversity through frontier sciences such as Metabolomics and Nutrigenomics. I have since set an herbal in-situ conservatory, developed herbal products and fruit extracts with validated anti-diabetic, anti-atherosclerotic, anti-cholesterol, and anti-viral activities, filed four patents, licensed its technologies, and managed to register five trade secrets. In my research, I use multidisciplinary approaches (transcriptomics, metabolomics, chemoinformatics, pharmacokinetics, and in-vivo animal models) to gain a more holistic approach and better understand how dietary compounds alter our metabolism and affect various cellular pathways through gene regulation.
