Profile Summary

I am a machine learning researcher, and data engineer with a background in geoscience and petroleum engineering. I combine scientific research with practical software development to turn complex data into useful models, reliable workflows, and tools that support technical decisions. As co-founder of Collision Technologies, I develop applied AI solutions, including language models, AI agents, retrieval systems, and workflow automation. My work spans LLM fine-tuning, model evaluation, dataset curation, and the development of applications for business and industrial use. Previously, at SISSA, I worked on predictive maintenance and digital twins for energy systems, using time-series sensor data, neural networks, and physics-based fatigue models to study equipment degradation and estimate remaining useful life. My research experience at ElevenLabs also involved machine learning, large-scale data processing, and improving speech and audio dataset quality. My industry experience includes well-site data analysis at Geolog International and reservoir characterization and modeling at Eni. This foundation allows me to connect computational methods with the physical processes behind geological and engineering data. I hold an MSc in Applied Science (Geoscience) from the University of Perugia, awarded with distinction, and a BSc in Petroleum Engineering. I work primarily with Python, PyTorch, and modern AI development tools.
