Profile Summary

I am an enthusiastic researcher with a keen focus on remote sensing, land use dynamics, biogeochemistry, mineralogy, hydrology, geology, water quality and numerical modelling. I will be happy to contribute to the research work to be conducted in your Ph.D. I have good experience in working with hydrological models (i.e. SWAT, INVEST, WEPP etc.) and also geochemical modelling. In my research work I have established five sediment fingerprinting methodologies using multiple laboratory methods (i.e. XRD, XRF and FTIR), soil and sediment sampling techniques (i.e. grid, zone and confluence), unsupervised machine learning analysis (Partial Least Square Regression, Principal Component Analysis and Bayesian modelling in R and Matlab environments) and physically based models in ArcGIS (i.e. INVEST-SDR and WEPP) with remote sensing techniques (i.e. Landsat image processing). I have developed two novel indices in my research work that accounts for the spatial and temporal outcomes of sediment fingerprinting and can be applicable to identify the crucial erodible regions in a catchment land use patterns. Apparently, my knowledge on hydrology, geochemistry, soil science and skills on remote sensing, soil and water sampling approaches makes me enthusiastic about the project.
