Profile Summary

I am a postdoctoral researcher in computational and applied mathematics, with a PhD from The Chinese University of Hong Kong supported by the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme. My work sits at the intersection of mathematical theory and real engineering problems: I build and analyse methods for recovering unknown quantities from indirect, noisy measurements. My core expertise covers nonlinear inverse problems, regularisation theory, PDE-constrained optimisation, and scientific machine learning. On the applied side, I have worked on electrical impedance tomography (EIT), seismic inversion, and computational imaging. I implement in Python and MATLAB, with PyTorch as my primary framework for deep learning and SciML work, and I write clean, well-documented research-grade code. I consult on projects that require rigorous mathematical modelling, parameter identification, uncertainty quantification, or the design and evaluation of physics-informed neural networks and data-driven solvers. I am comfortable working with clients at any stage, from problem formulation and feasibility assessment through to numerical implementation and result interpretation.
