Profile Summary

After completing medical university, I moved to Japan to further my education and pursue doctoral studies in Tumor Immunology and Cell therapy. I received PhD at Hyogo College of Medicine where I was awarded PhD student of the year in 2018. . In 2018 my paper IL‐18 Primes Murine NK cells for Poliferation by Promoting Protein Synthesis, Survival, and Autophagy (DOI:10.1002/JLB.1HI1017-396RR) was accepted in Journal of Leukocyte Biology and it was highlighted in the section Frontline Science of the journal. In this paper we clarified some of the mechanisms by which IL-18 transduces its signals and processes that occur in the NK cells after stimulation with IL-18 and IL-2. In order to deepen my knowledge in the field of immunology and my technical skills I got a position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Center of Neurology and Psychiatry, Department of Immunology. My work now is focused on neuroimmunology, specifically- multiple sclerosis (MS) and autoimmunity. Main purpose of my project is to phenotype and describe the regulation of self reactive T cells in MS, both in human and in mice MS model- experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). In this project I use different gene modified mice and apply various techniques for analysis including single-channel microarrays (whole genome analysis), FACS analysis and rtPCR. I am enthusiastic about furthering field knowledge, advancement of scientific discoveries, and publishing professional papers.
