Profile Summary

My background is in experimental genetics with a focus on genetic screens and mutagenesis methods. Currently I am using CRISPR mutagenesis screens to investigate drug resistance mechanisms in breast cancer, particularly PARP inhibitors and other drugs targeting the DNA damage response. I attend and present at major international conferences in the genome engineering and targeted cancer therapy fields, giving me an in-depth knowledge of current research. I have expertise in the design and analysis of DNA sequencing experiments on Illumina, Ion Torrent and Oxford Nanopore platforms. I am experienced with many common alignment and analysis tools and scripting in R, Ruby and Perl. I also have an interest in software development for the web, using Ruby on Rails, Angular and React.
