Profile Summary

I am an interdisciplinary researcher focusing on climate risk and the intersections between climate, conflict, and migration. My work combines econometric analysis with qualitative research, delivering insights that are directly relevant for corporate strategy, policy design, and investment decision-making. I currently co-lead the Climate Conflict Vulnerability Index, a global risk mapping tool that identifies where climate risk and conflict risks converge. These overlapping risks are often underestimated in traditional market or geopolitical assessments, yet they can have substantial implications. For instance, in the Sahel region, the combination of drought, conflict, and weak governance increasingly threatens agricultural supply chains and regional stability. Investors and companies operating globally often overlook how such compound risks can affect commodities, logistics, and market access. I work with clients to: - Integrate climate risk, conflict risk, or both into ESG and risk management frameworks - Climate risk assessments for policy and investment - Assess supply chain vulnerabilities linked to climate and security risks - Inform investment strategies with scenario analyses on regional stability and climate risk An example of a project I am involved in can be found here: www.climate-conflict.org.
