My name is Dr. Shazia Asim. I am a doctor by profession and currently working as a professor of pharmacology in a medical college in Pakistan. I’ve been teaching pharmacology since 2009, during which I did my Mphil and progressed further in my academic career as a part of various promotions. I built the last 13 years of my professional career around the subject that I love and that is pharmacology, in which I have a glowing fondness and now it has converted into a passion. So innate was my motivation that I applied for a PhD program and at the moment, I am registered with a renowned university as a PhD student. As intended earlier, I had the study of cancer in my mind and I put my effort and energy into the field of breast cancer and am currently working on finishing my research work. Being a doctor and a medical teacher, I have always been keen to contribute to health. Preventive health care has always been my focus since I strongly believe that prevention is better than cure. I always had a profound desire to contribute to addressing the ever-declining health status of society. I am an avid and frequent writer in daily newspapers and continuously want to serve my society.
