Profile Summary

I build and interpret Bayesian statistical models for complex environmental, ecological, and geospatial problems. My core technical strengths are hierarchical/multilevel regression, time series modeling, and ordinal outcome models, implemented in R. I work across the full data pipeline, from field collection (drone-based LiDAR, multispectral imaging, photogrammetry) through geospatial processing (ArcGIS, R, Agisoft Metashape) to statistical analysis and interactive web-based visualization. My current research involves paleoclimate reconstruction of Tulare Lake (California's Central Valley) using Bayesian regression; this work combines advanced statistical modeling with environmental and land use analysis in one of the most heavily modified agricultural landscapes in North America. Other applied project work includes drone-based landscape documentation and change detection for cultural heritage preservation and the design and management of geospatial data platforms for multi-stakeholder research collaborations. I have published in American Antiquity and Studies in Conservation, and hold an ACLS Digital Justice grant for community-partnered digital archaeology. I am available for projects involving Bayesian model specification, diagnostics, and interpretation; multilevel/hierarchical modeling for nested data; geospatial and remote sensing data processing and analysis; interactive data visualization; environmental and climate data analysis; and research design consultation or grant proposal methodology sections.
