Profile Summary

I am an academic and researcher with extensive training in molecular biology, toxicology, and cancer biology, supported by an M.S. from the University of Kentucky, USA, and a Ph.D. in Biosciences from Manipal University Jaipur, India. My research career spans both national and international institutions, where I have developed strong expertise in prostate cancer biology, functional genomics, and the role of non-coding RNAs in disease mechanisms. My previous and ongoing research projects focus on understanding the molecular basis of cancer, particularly prostate cancer, using integrative approaches that combine wet-lab experimentation with computational biology. I have worked extensively on next-generation sequencing (whole-exome and RNA-seq data), identification of key molecular pathways, and lncRNA–protein interactions using bioinformatics and machine learning tools. My work also includes contributions to COVID-19-related genomics and nutrigenomics, reflecting a broad interdisciplinary research approach. Technically, I am skilled in a wide range of molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques, including PCR, RT-PCR, Western blotting, cell culture, transfection, immunoassays, protein purification, and spectroscopy-based analysis. In addition, I have hands-on experience in animal handling and experimental models, as well as proficiency in bioinformatics platforms such as Cytoscape, STRING, and gene network analysis tools. Currently, as an Assistant Professor at the Central University of Rajasthan, I am actively involved in teaching, curriculum development, and mentoring students, while continuing my research in cancer genomics and molecular pathways. I have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to book chapters, and I am also engaged in scientific collaborations and academic activities through professional societies and research consortia.
