Profile Summary

I am a PhD researcher based in Chennai, India, specializing in Environmental Toxicology and Public Health with a focus on the "One Health" perspective. My research addresses the critical intersection of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), chemical bioaccumulation, and food safety in aquatic ecosystems. I recently completed my doctoral thesis (November 2025), which pioneered a Synergistic Risk Assessment framework. This work specifically investigated the co-occurrence of AMR-Vibrio, Heavy Metal Bioaccumulation, and Toxigenic Fungal Contamination in commercial finfish. My research methodology integrates environmental source tracking, biomass weight correlations, and the development of stringent hygienic disposal protocols to mitigate multi-faceted biological and chemical hazards. With extensive experience in toxicological risk assessment, I am dedicated to advancing sustainable protocols for food security and environmental health. My work aims to bridge the gap between laboratory-scale microbial analysis and large-scale environmental management strategies, particularly regarding heavy metal remediation and the containment of antibiotic-resistant pathogens in the food chain.
