Profile Summary

I am a bioinformatician and AI engineer who turns complex biological data into clear, reproducible answers. Over roughly two years across three research groups, I have worked on next-generation sequencing analysis, multi-omics integration, and machine learning, building the pipelines and models that take raw data through to interpretable results. My technical core is Python, R, and Bash on Linux and HPC, with reproducible, containerized workflows using Nextflow, Docker, and Git. I analyze RNA-seq, whole-genome, single-cell, and spatial-omics data, and I build and interpret machine learning models (gradient boosting, Random Forest, SHAP) for high-dimensional biological problems. I also work at the applied AI-for-biology frontier, using bio foundation and language models such as ESM-3, transformers, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering. My current research is in viral ecology and phage genomics, where I study phages, mobile genetic elements, and microbial communities through metagenomics and comparative genomics. Earlier work spans quantitative genetics and genomic prediction. This is supported by a conference poster accepted for 2026 and a manuscript under review. I hold a Master's in Biotechnology with a bioinformatics specialization. I work well independently and across disciplines, and I care about clean code, documentation, and results that clients can trust and reproduce.
