Profile Summary

When talking about scientific research, accuracy is key: in your writing, methods, results and translations. Therefore, I aim to provide you with quality services, coming from a Biomedical Scientist (BSc) with a Post Graduate degree in Cytology (spc), and current student for a Masters degree in Virology (MSc). Academically wise, I have currently dedicated 8 years of my life to science studying - with 4 research projects, one experience as a Teacher Assistant for molecular biology and so far, 6 published materials: 1 article, 4 abstracts for an international congress and 1 abstract for a national symposium. My research is mainly focused on the fields of cytology, cellular and molecular biology, genetics, bioinformatics, and virology. As for medical translation and writing skills, my native language is Brazilian Portuguese and the two foreign languages I add when working are: English (American) and Spanish (South American). I can help you with any of these three. Portuguese Skills: I am a native speaker. Born and raised in Brazil. Using it on a daily basis. English Skills: I have studied the language for 7 years through a language course, being awarded as the best student twice. I am completely comfortable with expressing myself in English for 16 years. As certifications, I have advanced levels of English (granted by my language school) and a C2 Native Proficient level (granted by EF Standard English Test - EF SET). I am also a certified EFL teacher, with working experience on the field. Spanish Skills: I have studied the language for 3 years, also through a language course. I actively use it for 9 years now. My certification was awarded by my language school and states that I express myself in advanced fluency. I am relying on my Spanish skills a lot lately since I am working from home as a volunteer translator for a Lima - Peru based non-profit organization, called the Latin American Community Of Young Leaders. Being a biomedical scientist, I am familiar with medical and healthcare terminology, allowing you to receive a science-based final result, with correct translations, appropriate writing styles, and easy comprehension.
