Profile Summary

Hello, I am a postdoctoral fellow at the University of California - Irvine in the lab of Dr. Paolo Sassone-Corsi. We study the intersection between metabolism and the circadian clock. Since I've earned my B.S. in Clinical Dietetics and Nutrition and my PhD in Neuroscience, I've become fascinated by the mechanisms through which environmental cues and dietary interventions regulate the epigenome and impact human health/disease. I've worked in the biomedical laboratory setting since 2009. My specific scientific expertise includes: molecular biology, cell biology, epigenetics, neuroscience, stroke and cerebral ischemia, circadian clock and rhythms, nutrition, metabolism. My skills include manuscript writing and editing (please see publications below and/or google scholar Kevin B Koronowski), grant writing and editing (successfully applied for and received 2 NIH fellowship grants in excess of $150K in funding), data analysis, experimental design, and biomedical research project consulting, among others.
