Profile Summary

I hold graduate Degrees in Chemistry and in Chemical Engineering. with working experience in organizations from 1961 onward. From 1968 to 1995 I worked in FACT Engineering & Design Organization, a Division of the Fertilizers and Chemicals Travancore Lts, Kochi, Kerals. The company is a pioneer in the Fertilizer Manufacturing industry. My work experience includes, process engineering design, pre-project studies of setting up fertilizer and petrochemical plants. While working in FACT Engneering & Design Organizaion from 1975 to 1984, I worked on Deputation with India Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, holding the position of Project Officer (Fertilizers) responsibilities of monitoring performance of the Fertilizer Sector in India, and facilitation of expansion and diversification proposals in individual manufacturing units. In 1978, I became Director- Technical in the Fertilizer Industry Co-ordination Committee, responsible for fixation of efficiency norms in individual manufacturing units in India (about 35 manufacturing units at that time) I also worked in Deputation position as Managing Director in The Co-operative Sugars Ltd., in Palakkad, Kerals for two years from 1991 to 1993. I continued to be in the service of FACT Engineering & Design Organization while holding the positions on Deputation mentioned above, and I retired in 1995 as Head of Process Engineering Design Division. From 1995 to 1997 I worked as Chief General Manager of Empee Sugars & Chemicals Ltd, located in Andhra Pradesh. The company was manufacturing Sugar and Alcohol. From the year 2000 onward I am a practicing consultant for Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), Environment Management Systems (ISO 14001), Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems (ISO 45001).
