Profile Summary

A passionate researcher, with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University (USA), I have 9 years of product development and management experience designing, integrating and deploying digital health interventions to improve accessibility and quality of healthcare with technology. As Program Manager at Apollo Hospitals (India’s leading Private Healthcare Provider), I led the charter to pioneer the use of connected point of care solutions for Chronic disease management and preventive healthcare screening. I can say with some pride, that I was responsible for the launch & implementation of India’s first ‘Integrated Digital Vital Monitor’ in 100+ Primary Healthcare Centres (As a part of the Digital India Initiative) & the launch of India’s first ever ‘Automated Rapid point of care’ device for Malaria and Dengue testing; thereby providing healthcare access to remote parts of the country. Since 2018 I worked as Research and Development Manager at UE Lifesciences India Pvt Ltd (a Medical Device Startup), where my efforts have led to the development and clinical validation of our Gen II Breast cancer screening device which empowers community health workers, even in remote areas, to deliver standardized breast exams with improved clinical efficacy. At present, I lead product development at Tilosia LLC, an American medical technology startup, translating research and clinical requirements into a tangible technology value proposition to improve disease identification and monitoring for chronic conditions like Parkinson’s disease. I have also worked extensively on the development of regulatory strategies, intellectual property, and technical documentation for regulatory approvals (FDA & CE). I have conceptualized, designed & drafted several grant proposals that have received funding : namely a pilot proposal for a digital prescription solution which received funding by International Finance Corporation (IFC) in 2016 and a large scale cervical cancer screening project which received funding from Pfizer Foundation in August 2019. I have also co-authored a paper on SEHAT - India’s largest rural Telehealth initiative which was presented at Med-e-Tel, one of the largest global digital health conferences, organized by ISfTeH. Additionally, during my Masters, I have published a research paper which was presented at IEEE ICIP 2014 titled 'Stain Separation in Histology Images'.
