Profile Summary

I have completed my BSc degree in technological physics at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto and proceeded to do my MSc degree in geophysical sciences, the field of meteorology and oceanography at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa, where I have developed competencies about weather and sea-states analyses such as synoptic meteorological dynamics and mesoscale oceanic processes. Also, I was able to work with climatological data to study the statistical properties of such phenomena.

As previous working experiences, I have enrolled in an internship at the Portuguese Hydrographic Institute, where I worked with HF radar wave measurement data and from where my master thesis dissertation “Validation and Quality Assessments of HF Radar Wave Measurements in the Algarve Shore” bloomed as a result. Also, I have presented my work at two different conferences. I have presented a poster at the ICRSC 2019 conference in Setubal and gave a talk about my work at the Portuguese Oceanographic Association (APOcean) 2019 meeting in Peniche.

Besides, I have participated as a Trainee in an INESC TEC project concerning the development of an optical sensor for the measuring of the CO2 dissolved in water for aquaculture purposes.

At the moment, I am working with +Atlantic (a colaborative laboratory for the Atlantic ocean) and CEiiA, regarding remote sensing and data science projects.
