Profile Summary

Hello, my name is Cleandra and I’ve always been interested in health care, principally everything related to the genetics area. Then, I built a career as a Molecular Scientist, and for over 8 years I have been performing molecular tests and scientific investigations on human genetics, working in solid tumors and hereditary cancer predisposition syndromes topics. My desire to contribute to scientific research led me to perform collaborative projects with National and International researcher centers in the cancer epigenetics field, such as Cancer National Institute in Brazil and International Agency for Research on Cancer in France. I transformed my scientific know-how into 8 papers, over 10 conference presentations, and mentor 3 undergraduate students. In the past few years, I have seen the scientific knowledge advances performed by new molecular technologies, such as NGS and dPCR, and their potential to help people's health so I decided to collaborate with this improvement. I have a strong desire to help patients through personalized medicine while working in a commercial lab, using innovative approaches to allow them to effectively get a diagnostic or monitor their disease.
