I have had been trained in several laboratories with different interests, including: oncology (malignant transformation, oncogenes, antioncogenes, apopotosis, cell senescence, search and characterization of blood biomarkers of colorectal cancer); biochemistry (basic metabolic pathways, enzyme activity control, oxidant and antioxidant pathways); immunology (antibody generation, lymphocyte proliferation; immunoassay optimization and validation); pharmacology (inflammation); DNA damage and repair; control of cell transcription (transcription factors, large scale analysis of gene expression; epigenetic control by methylation; transcription factor reporter assays); hearing loss (structural biology of the organ of Corti, expression of organ of Corti genes) and skeletal muscle biology.  Therefore, I have worked with several assays, including: DNA cloning, subcloning; phage display, PCR, RT-PCR; protein expression (bacteria, baculovirus and mammalian cell lines); western blotting; ELISA, flow cytometry (cell cycle, apoptosis, cell expression), immunofluorescence, immunoprecipitation; polyclonal antibody generation and purification; mammal and insect cell culture (primary and established, in suspension and adherent); riboprobe generation/in vitro transcription; northern blotting; in situ hybridization; metabolic and antioxidant enzyme activity determination, DNA damage determination, lymphocyte proliferation assay, superoxide generation quantification, lipid peroxidation quantification; use of bioinformatics tools.  I have also trained and set up assays on a robotic liquid dispensing system (Janus, Perkin Elmer).
I also work supporting researchers in scientific publications. I carry out bibliographical searches (including in patent databases), carry out critical review of manuscripts; write, review, edit and translate scientific publications. I have worked in this capacity in fields such as : sleep epidemiology; stem cell biology; virus infection pathology; public health; ultrasonography; and cell senescence.
