Profile Summary

I am a research methodologist, program evaluator, and scientific communications consultant with more than 20 years of experience helping researchers, universities, nonprofits, and grant-funded organizations design, evaluate, and communicate evidence. My work combines rigorous research methodology with clear, practical communication to support successful grants, publications, technical reports, and evidence-informed decision making. My expertise includes survey and instrument design, evaluation methodology, mixed-methods research, statistical analysis (SPSS), logic model development, research design, technical writing, and grant proposal development. I enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams to transform complex technical ideas into clear, persuasive narratives for reviewers, funders, collaborators, and stakeholders. One of my greatest strengths is collaborating with experts outside my own discipline and quickly learning unfamiliar technical domains, allowing me to serve as an effective bridge between researchers, funders, administrators, and public audiences. Throughout my career at the University of Oregon, I supported multidisciplinary research programs spanning physics, neuroscience, biology, STEM education, and public policy. I collaborated with faculty investigators to develop grant proposals, evaluation plans, budgets, compliance documentation, and research reports while managing complex federally funded research portfolios. As founder and director of the SPICE Program, I designed and evaluated evidence-based STEM education initiatives, securing competitive funding and building comprehensive systems for measuring program impact. I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Methodology, Policy & Leadership and an M.P.A. in Public Administration from the University of Oregon. My research interests include evaluation methodology, survey design, STEM education, science communication, equity in education, and evidence-based program improvement. Whether reviewing a grant proposal, developing an evaluation framework, designing a survey, analyzing quantitative data, or editing a technical report, my goal is the same: helping organizations generate credible evidence and communicate it clearly enough to inform decisions and secure support.
