Profile Summary

I have had a keen interest in physics from n early age, which eventually led me to pursue a physics major during my undergraduate studies. Subsequently, I obtained my master's degree in Physics from the S N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences in Kolkata. My master's thesis focused on classical Yang-Mills theory. Following the completion of my degree, I embarked on a one-month research project at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences in Chennai, and later enrolled in the graduate school of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research. After two years of coursework, I left TIFR after getting a remarkable opportunity to pursue my passion for theoretical particle physics at the University of Naples Federico II in Italy, where I joined the Ph.D program under the supervision of Dr. Giancarlo D'Ambrosio of the Instituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare - Naples section. My research during this period, which spanned three years, centered on theoretical and phenomenological aspects of rare kaon decays in the Standard Model, as well as signs of Beyond Standard Model Physics. My area of expertise lies in Effective Field Theories, with a particular focus on the non-perturbative regime of QCD. Throughout my Ph.D, I utilized various techniques such as the Operator Product Expansion, Chiral Perturbation Theory, and Large N method to achieve matching between long and short distance physics within the context of rare kaon decays. After my PhD I got a postdoc position at the INFN - Naples, Italy to work on the muon g-2 experiment of Fermilab, USA, where I have worked actively for 3 years and also served as a run coordinator for run-3. I then got a postdoctoral research associate position at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati to work on DUNE and NOvA experiments of Fermilab. I am currently an assistant professor of Physics at Tihu College, Tihu, Nalbari, Assam. Electrodynamics, Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Field Theory, Mathematical, and Numerical methods are some of my areas of expertise. I relish tackling mathematical and analytical puzzles, and I am open to applying the techniques of theoretical physics to non-physics problems. In fact, I have generated several innovative ideas about leveraging physics in fields such as Linguistics and finance.
