Profile Summary

I'm Faculty at Surgical Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. I have interest focused on the development of biomarkers for early detection of pancreatic cancer. In addition, I study both genetic and epigenetic modifications in metastatic pancreatic cancer with the long-term goal of developing prognostic and treatment modalities. My core interest also includes chemo resistance in colon cancer and we are devising strategies at both genetic and epigenetic level with the help of basic science to have in depth analysis of the chemo resistance in GI related cancer. I also interrogate DNA at the the whole genome level. Involved in whole genome and epigenome analysis with NGS, Expression array, DNA methylation using 850K array and Bisulphite sequencing.
