Profile Summary

I am an Aerospace Engineer and engineering consultant specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), aerodynamics, aeroelasticity, multidisciplinary design optimization (MDO), structural dynamics, and advanced vehicle design. My experience spans more than 25 years supporting government agencies, aerospace primes, startups, and research organizations through the complete engineering lifecycle—from concept development and numerical simulation to prototype manufacturing, testing, validation, and technology transition. My technical expertise includes external and internal aerodynamics, high-speed and transonic flows, aeroelasticity and flutter prediction, wind-tunnel model design, finite element analysis (FEA), conjugate heat transfer, thermal management, structural dynamics, optimization, and systems engineering. I have extensive experience using ANSYS Fluent, CFD++, FUN3D, OpenFOAM, NASTRAN, MATLAB/Simulink, Python, SolidWorks, CATIA, and multidisciplinary optimization frameworks incorporating adjoint methods and automated design workflows. Throughout my career I have contributed to advanced aerospace programs at organizations including Lockheed Martin Skunk Works, Northrop Grumman, Virgin Galactic, and Creative Aero Engineering Solutions (CAES). My work has included next-generation aircraft concepts, reusable launch vehicles, UAVs, high-speed transportation systems, propulsion integration, sonic boom reduction, inlet optimization, and experimental validation through wind-tunnel and ground vibration testing. One area of particular interest has been multidisciplinary design optimization. I have developed and applied adjoint-based optimization methods to improve lift-to-drag ratio, reduce sonic boom signatures, optimize inlet performance, and couple aerodynamic and structural analyses. My research has also involved mesh adaptation, aeroelastic coupling, automated geometry parameterization, and simulation-driven design using high-performance computing environments. In addition to computational research, I have led the design and manufacture of complex experimental hardware, including aeroelastic wind-tunnel models, flight-test hardware, structural test articles, and advanced engineering prototypes. These efforts required close collaboration across analysis, manufacturing, instrumentation, testing, and program management disciplines. My consulting work supports a broad range of industries including aerospace, defense, advanced manufacturing, transportation, robotics, renewable energy, and medical devices.
