I am an epidemiologist and research scientist formally trained in both traditional medicine and epidemiological science, with a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Washington, an MPH from Brown University, and medical degree (BSMS) in Siddha Medicine from India, which is similar to Ayurveda. This combination brings clinical and quantitative perspectives to my work in integrative medicine and public health. I help researchers and organizations design studies, analyze complex health data, evaluate evidence, and develop scientific manuscripts. My research experience spans chronic pain, rehabilitation, integrative medicine, the gut–brain axis, and HIV/immunology. Co-authored in top-tier journals, and peer reviewed complementary and integrative medicine journals. My expertise includes: * Study design and analysis planning: Developing research questions, study protocols, and statistical analysis plans. * Statistical analysis in R: Longitudinal analysis, mixed-effects models, generalized estimating equations (GEE), and multiple imputation. * Health data integration and analysis: Working with clinical, laboratory, genomic, survey, and patient-reported outcome data, including PROMIS measures. * Evidence synthesis: Systematic and scoping reviews, literature searches, critical appraisal, and synthesis of findings. * Scientific writing and reporting: Preparing manuscripts, technical reports, publication-ready tables, and data visualizations. At the University of Washington, I have served as lead analyst across multiple studies involving immunological, genomic, and clinical data. My doctoral research focused on lumbar spinal stenosis, including longitudinal analyses of pain, physical function, and treatment patterns, alongside research on the gut–brain axis. I have also conducted longitudinal analyses of recovery and quality of life among burn survivors. I have a particular interest in applying rigorous epidemiological methods to evaluate traditional and integrative approaches to health.
