I am a Mumbai-based healthcare professional with over 9 years of experience spanning clinical practice, medical education, research, and MedTech innovation. I hold a PhD in Health Sciences with a doctoral thesis focused on designing and developing an Augmented Reality-based Multi-Parameter Monitor Learning System and studying its effect on cognitive load, motivation, and learning outcomes in Operation Theatre Technology students; research that resulted in a granted copyright for the AR system UI and a provisional design patent for a mobile-based AR application for healthcare education. My academic foundation includes a first-rank MSc in Medical Technology (Anaesthesia & OT Technology) from Symbiosis International University, alongside dual PG Diplomas in Clinical Research and Hospital & Healthcare Management. I currently serve as Chief Executive Officer at the Medical Innovation Creativity and Entrepreneurship (M.I.C.E) Lab, Grant Government Medical College & Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, where I design and deliver innovation curriculum, mentor interdisciplinary teams of medical, engineering, design, and management students from raw idea through to proof-of-concept and prototyping, provide IP and research support, and have conceptualised and led MedTech hackathons annually in association with IIT Bombay. I am a certified BLS and ACLS Instructor with the American Heart Association and have trained healthcare professionals and students in emergency life support across multiple institutions. I have published in indexed journals including ECS Transactions, Journal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research, and South Eastern European Journal of Public Health, co-authored book chapters with Springer and IGI Global, and presented at six national and international conferences, winning first prize in oral presentation at the 12th International Advanced Diagnostic Techniques Conference 2024. I hold a granted patent for a Stoma device, making me both a researcher and an inventor with lived experience of taking an innovation from clinical insight to intellectual property.
