Profile Summary

I am a PhD-trained immunologist with extensive experience in allergy, mucosal immunology, and translational biomedical research, complemented by experience in life sciences consulting and scientific research. I earned my PhD in Medical Sciences from Philipps-Universität Marburg in collaboration with Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, where my research focused on the role of IgA in allergic disease and immune homeostasis. I also hold a Master of Medical Sciences in Immunology from Harvard Medical School and a BSc in Microbiology from the University of Reading. My research experience spans both in vitro and in vivo immunology. I have extensive hands-on experience with multicolor flow cytometry, ELISA, primary immune cell culture, mast cell and basophil assays, ex vivo immune cell stimulation, PCR/qPCR, immunofluorescence microscopy, and antibody purification. My in vivo work includes murine models of food allergy, atopic dermatitis, asthma, and anaphylaxis, as well as tissue collection, immune profiling, and analysis of disease mechanisms. My doctoral research specifically investigated IgA-mediated regulation of mast cell responses and immune homeostasis, resulting in peer-reviewed research and additional manuscript work. In addition to laboratory research, I have experience in life sciences consulting, where I conducted systematic literature reviews, clinical trial and competitive landscape analyses, patent research, and scientific assessments across therapeutic areas including allergy, immunology, dermatology, and immune tolerance. I have evaluated emerging therapeutic approaches, mechanisms of action, efficacy and safety data, unmet needs, and clinical development strategies, translating complex scientific information into clear reports and presentations for clients. I also have experience with scientific writing, manuscript preparation and editing, data analysis using FlowJo and GraphPad Prism, literature research, grant support, IRB/IBC documentation, and training and mentoring researchers. My background allows me to combine rigorous scientific research with the ability to synthesize complex biomedical information and communicate it clearly to both scientific and non-specialist audiences.
