Ph.D in General Relativity and Cosmology. Physics professor for 4 years. My academic work was in Dark Energy Modeling using Quantum Field Theory in Curved Spacetime under Leonard Parker. This involved cosmological parameter space optimization based on the effects of low mass scalar quantized field created during inflation in the early Universe. In addition, I collaborated with Gonzalo Olmo on non-linear gravity models. I have worked in many different verticals e.g. health care, transportation, marketing, logistics, oil and gas, food and beverage. In health care, I invented, developed and deployed a Medicare membership model that solved a manifestation of Simpson's Paradox in Medicare Advantage. This effort has been in production for over 10 years and has impacted over $1B in revenue annually. Terms that were invented to define are frequently used in quarterly financial reports. At SmarterHQ, I was the architect and developer of a market campaign automation platform (now called Wunderkind Audiences (https://www.wunderkind.co/blog/article/smarterhq-wunderkind-audiences/). This platform was developed in AWS Redshift. It ingested web behavior data to generate marketing campaigns. it would process web site behavior and using PII data connect the behaviors in a behavioral graph to be used in audience generation and product recommendations. This product recommendation technology was an association rules based engine that utilized time scaling based on time dilation from Relativity to accommodate large and small retailers. At First Student, I invented, developed and deployed a production school bus driver scoring technology (can be seen here https://firststudentinc.com/innovation/on-board-bus-technologies/driverscore/). This parameterized driver behavior and was used in driver risk mediation. The output was simplified down to a simple 5-star scoring system similar to product reviews at online retailers like Amazon or Newegg.
