Profile Summary

I am a veterinarian graduated from the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) and currently a Master's student in Animal Science in the Tropics at the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA). My academic background is grounded in molecular microbiology, experimental toxicology, and biotechnology, with practical experience in antimicrobial peptide analysis, fungal bioactive compound extraction, and gene expression profiling (RT-PCR).

During my undergraduate and early postgraduate trajectory, I have worked extensively with filamentous fungi, aquatic invertebrates, and wild reptiles, contributing to studies on antimicrobial activity, genetic identification, and hematological and biochemical profiling.

Currently, my research focuses on the histopathological and molecular characterization of monocrotaline-induced toxicity in brain endothelial cells, aiming to elucidate neurotoxic mechanisms with translational relevance for both veterinary and human health. I am particularly interested in the intersection between molecular pathophysiology, One Health, and regulatory science.
