Profile Summary

I am a stem cell and developmental biologist as well as a surgeon, with a primary research interest in translating the understanding of evolutionary mechanisms that drive developmental changes for applications in regenerative medicine and craniofacial anomalies. My PhD and Post-Doctoral work dealt with elucidating pathways of craniofacial stem cell development and involved several collaborations with industry. I currently hold a 50% faculty appointment at the University of California San Francisco at the Assistant Professor level and maintain a private practice.
