Profile Summary

I am a London-based academic trauma & orthopaedic surgeon with a strong interest in improving how surgical interventions and medical devices are evaluated in real-world clinical settings. My work focuses on bridging clinical practice, health data science, and surgical public health to support better decision-making in surgery. I have contributed to several research projects involving real-world evidence (RWE), including large-scale federated studies using the OMOP Common Data Model and OHDSI tools. Recent projects include evaluating orthopaedic implant performance across international sites, and work with industry. I hold a Master’s in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, with training in epidemiology, health systems, and the use of routine healthcare data. I am currently developing my doctoral research fellowship proposal to apply causal inference methods, including target trial emulation, to answer surgical and health services related questions.
