Profile Summary

I am a physician-scientist with an MD(MBBS)/PhD, board-eligible in Neurology and about to begin a Neuro-Oncology fellowship at UCLA. Over the past decade I have worked at the interface of brain-tumor biology, medical-device engineering, and translational research, authoring multiple peer-reviewed publications and abstracts. My coined the term 'cytostatic hypothermia' and my work led to four pending patents for a novel implantable cooling system to slow glioblastoma growth; I directed the full R &D pipeline—from COMSOL thermal modelling and benchtop prototyping to large-animal (swine) survival studies and first-in-human regulatory planning. Alongside device development, I enjoy reading scientific literature and writing grant proposals. Funding acquisition and scientific communication are additional strengths. I have secured more than >$100,000 in funding for my work and have prepared or helped refine others' grant applications, manuscripts. My consulting portfolio thus far includes assisting a laboratory in developing electrotaxis against glioblastoma and assisting students in understanding scientific literature. Current projects include shepherding a brain-cooling system toward an IDE submission and developing a novel neurological tool. Through Kolabtree I aim to partner on all sorts of assignments including Neurological/clinical problems assessment, study design and development, scientific strategy, paper analysis/review, device design and prototyping, finite-element modelling, or strategic guidance on intellectual property and go-to-market planning for neurotechnology ventures. I bring a cross-disciplinary perspective grounded in clinical neurology, oncology, and engineering, and I am committed to accelerating projects from concept to publication or regulatory milestone.
