I am a PhD from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology. My subject specialization is in immunology, cell biology, microbiology and molecular biology. I worked in the area of host-parasite interaction. My PhD work was concerned with designing subunit vaccine, combination therapy against experimental visceral leishmaniasis. My post doctoral studies were with host-vibrio cholerae interaction and investigation with probiotic effector molecules, which could have immunomodulatory potential. My research activities generated 13 publications in international peer reviewed journal and one Indian Patent. I worked as a Principal Investigator in two Woman Scientist Projects (DST and ICMR) with grant 30 lakhs each. My preliminary application for Early Career Fellowship and Intermediated Fellowship was approved by Wellcome Trust DBT India Alliance. I received prestigious Travel award (one of the 14 awardees selected from all over Asia) by Federation of Immunological Societies of Asia Oceania and the Australasian Society of Immunology to attend 7th FIMSA/ASI Advanced Training Course in Immunology at Adelaide, Australia in 2004. I believe my skills and experience could be of benefit to writing paper for international peer reviewed journal and grant writing for Professors.
