Profile Summary

I have been working as a freelancer since past three of years. Overall, I have about 10 years of post-PhD experience in demand forecasting and predictive modelling using a number of tools including Python, Spark, MATLAB and SQL. I have worked on over 50 projects sponsored by a number of government agencies and private sector clients. My most recent freelance work was for a retail giant to improve their automated forecasting algorithms in a number of countries. I introduced automated machine learning algorithms in production in six countries for this client. My specialties include: 1: Demand forecasting with a deeper understanding of customer price sensitivity, cross-price elasticity and time series modelling 2: Improving forecasts using adjustments for seasonality and local context (holidays, events, etc.) 3: Providing actionable insights which demonstrate deeper understanding of the business 4: Choice modelling to provide insights on the value of non-market goods (e.g. value of time) Over the years, I have used many advanced quantitative methods including machine learning techniques.
