Profile Summary

I recently obtained a PhD in Structural and Molecular Biology and have a strong background in super-resolution and electron microscopy. During my studies, I qualified as a an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and I am committed to teaching. My research has given me expertise in biochemistry and rare genetic diseases. Prior to completing my PhD, I worked in industry at GSK on projects related to respiratory medicine and bioimaging. As well as my work in academia, I have experience as a policy writer at the Academy of Medical Sciences, writing and copyediting policy pieces on topics from Covid-19 to Climate Change and Health. I have a published review article, and I am currently writing another original research article. I am available for writing or copyediting pieces related to the life and medical sciences. As well as writing, I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator for scientific figure making. The breadth of projects I have worked on means I am comfortable managing various stakeholder relationships, and communicating ideas to various audiences.
