I worked on theoretical, experimental and computational techniques to study atomization of liquid in the presence of strong swirling field for my PhD thesis. My MS thesis was focussed on modeling of mosquito drinking mechanism which includes a synchronized operation of two pumps in their head. During my post doctoral research, I am working on liquid transport on wettability patterened porous and solid surfaces. I am also interested and working on bio-inspired surfaces for better liquid manipulation on surfaces.

Responsibilities and projects:

1. Formulate and design research methodology to study three dimensional liquid transport in porous materials.  The project is funded by Kimberly-Clark for potential application in incontinence products. 
2. Design experiments to study high momentum impact on solid/porous wettable substrates.
3. Establish external collaborations to decrease project completion timeline and also solve more interdisciplinary problems using fluid transport technologies developed in this laboratory.

Also, worked as a strategy consultant in EnterpriseWorks Chicago where I was involved in the following role:

Assess commercialization potential of the following university projects:

1. A novel drug that can improve sudden cardiac arrest survival.
2. Reactive electrochemical membrane for water filtration. 
3. Android based system for early diagnosis of bipolar disorder.
4. Mobile computing platform for physician management of intensive care unit.
5. Novel three dimensional pixelated stimulus source for vision testing.
