Profile Summary

I am a PhD-trained environmental microbiologist with postdoctoral research experience at Baylor College of Medicine, specializing in single-cell transcriptomics and advanced microbiome bioinformatics. I currently serve in academic program leadership while offering independent consulting in bioinformatics and multi-omic data analysis. My expertise spans single-cell RNA-seq analysis using Seurat (quality control, normalization, integration, clustering, differential expression, trajectory analysis, and publication-ready visualization) as well as 16S and whole-genome shotgun metagenomics workflows, including taxonomic profiling, functional annotation, diversity analysis, differential abundance testing, and longitudinal microbiome modeling. Throughout my research career, I have integrated ecological theory, host–microbiome biology, and computational methods to investigate how microbial communities respond to environmental stressors, host development, and clinical interventions. I have led microbiome analyses for multi-omic and clinical datasets and supported manuscript preparation and grant-driven research.
