Profile Summary

I’m a second-year PhD student in Chemistry at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, where I’m working on developing simple, non-invasive diagnostic tools to detect eye diseases like diabetic macular edema. My research combines chemistry, nanotechnology, and biosensor design, and I spend most of my time creating and optimizing lateral flow test strips using tear biomarkers. Before starting my PhD, I earned my Master’s in Chemistry at Madurai Kamaraj University, India, where I worked on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) and explored how greener approaches can make synthesis more sustainable. I also had the chance to design electrochemical biosensors for cancer biomarkers, which sparked my interest in bridging chemistry with healthcare. Along the way, I’ve co-authored scientific book chapters with Springer Nature and Wiley Scrivener Publishing, and built strong skills in analytical techniques like FT-IR, UV-Vis, NMR, and electrochemistry. Beyond research, I truly enjoy teaching and mentoring students, turning complex ideas into clear, practical lessons. Most importantly, I love making science accessible—whether in the lab, the classroom, or through writing—because I believe knowledge should inspire and connect with everyday life.
