Profile Summary

I have a PhD is Ecological Systems and a Masters in Library and Information Science. My research background focuses on environmental accounting in large systems. Former projects investigated Thailand's environmental water resources, West African drylands, and global environmental and economic flows. I used Geographic Information Systems (GIS) heavily in these efforts. I pursued the MLIS after my PhD because I am interested in finding, organizing, and mining information and data in a support role in scientific pursuits. In my current position as program manager at two research centers, amongst a wide variety of other duties, I maintain the National Environmental Accounting Database and serve as managing editor for a series of conference proceedings.
