Profile Summary

I am a Chemist by academic training and entrepreneurial by nature. I enjoy intellectual stimulation from being at the forefront of technology innovation in Physical & Life Sciences and business strategies in associated industries. I have tie ups with a few labs which can support scientific consulting projects and brings additional niche expertise to my project delivery. I provide analyses and insights on technical and business development activities to inform strategic decisions. I have typically supported start-up and small companies in chemistry and biotechnology-related industries, in drug discovery and chemical manufacturing areas. I was engaged as the Director of Operations for an early-stage company, focused on preclinical drug development for animal health and wellbeing. I have a knowledge background across physical chemistry, nanotechnology and photonics, and authored several peer-reviewed articles during my doctoral training. I developed a platform quantitative molecular sensing technology and then led its pre-commercial activities, including raising seed funds, to direct the development of technology. My business idea, which focused on ‘early warning in healthcare’, drew interest from several investors and commercial partners. The sensor continues to be developed at the University of Cambridge, aimed towards the creation of a home-based integrated health-monitoring system. I continue to work on an independent project in the water industry, working on strategies to deploy decentralised technology solutions for drinking water in Southeast Asia, particularly in challenging areas inflicted with issues like arsenic and fluoride contamination.
