Ecologist/conservation biologist with a keen interest in sustainable forestry, biodiversity responses to anthropogenic disturbance and herpetology. My PhD based at Freie university Berlin, examines the responses of reptiles and amphibians to logging in Bornean logging reserves. Throughout my PhD I have successfully applied for grants/scholarships to fund my research and have published five first authored papers (with three more in development) and seven short communications. I have extensive analytical experience in R, with a particular emphasis on occupancy modelling frameworks (single-species, multi-species, occupancy derived diversity profiles etc). My editing/reviewing experience includes supervising undergraduate student projects (resulting in two scientific papers), serving as a journal reviewer (Biotropica, Herpetology Notes) and assisting with the research of my colleagues.
