Profile Summary

I am a post graduate in Biotechnlogy and experienced in Medical entomology and Vector borne diseases. My phD works are on arthropod ticks (Acari: Ixodidae). My research works focus on the biology, diversity, biogeography, disease ecology and behavior of mosquitoes and ticks that transmit human diseases. I have been working on the vector borne viral diseases, Japanese encephalitis (JE), West Nile (WN) and Kyasanur forest disease (KFD) by investigating the occurrence, distribution, abundances and moleular detection of pathogens. Recently i am doing a reasearch project on Ixodidae ticks control and mangement.
