I am a Belgian social behavioural scientist, project manager, and qualitative researcher with advanced experience in conducting and managing qualitative research projects. With a master's degree in sociology and my current enrolment as a PhD student in Health in Social Sciences at Edinburgh University, I dare to say that I have a unique skill set when it comes to scientific research in social sciences, health sciences and anthropology. My main field of expertise lies in health-related behaviour and decision-making. For my master's thesis, I conducted qualitative research (Grounded Theory approach) on female perceptions towards HIV and gender inequality. The study was carried out in a South African township near Stellenbosch. For my PhD, I am using qualitative techniques to research the role of power in how scientific evidence has been developed, interpreted, and implemented to inform COVID-19 lockdown decisions.
