Profile Summary

Mr. Rohit Maurya is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Hindustan College of Science and Technology, Mathura. He has completed his PG with Honours in Geotechnical and Geo-environmental engineering from Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT), Sultanpur in 2016. Since then he has been engaged in teaching and research work. He has published over 17 research papers, among which 5 papers in international refereed journals out of this he published 11 papers in proceedings of national/international conferences. He has the membership of various national/international reputed academic authorities in engineering and technology like MIET, AMIE, IAENG also a member of NMS. He has completed 23 workshops/FDPs/training/s in various NITs/Gov. Institutions/Private Institutions on distinct topics like GIS, MATLAB, Disaster management, environmental management, smart cities, human values, and professional ethics, etc. He has organized various workshops/FDP/events/virtual Activities national and in Hindustan Campus. He has reviewed many research papers and chapters in refereed journals. He has completed and engaged in various in-house and outside consultancy works in soil/cube/steel testing. He has guided various UG projects in the latest thrust areas of civil engineering. Currently, he is engaged in two self-financed research projects as “Geo-reinforcing seismic-resistant material” and “Use of Carbon Nanoparticle mixed bricks”. He has participated in and judged various district-level competitions for school students. His area of interest is advanced foundation material, soil-structure interaction, geo-synthetics. He has developed various technical Modules for Geotechnical and foundation design engineering available online. He engaged in social awareness programs by given lectures to high school and Intermediate students about water, solid waste, pollution, polythene, sustainability, etc. He also involved in social work by surveying the local village areas regarding the problems of solid waste, wastewater, sanitation, groundwater, water treatment, soil contamination, etc. He has established various labs of the civil engineering department along with a skill development lab (PMKVY) and civil engineering yard (CEY) for students to explore the field exposure. He has taught over 12 technical subjects of civil engineering/other non-technical subjects and conducted various technical labs. He is familiar with various technical software like MATLAB, Geo5, ArcGIS, Geostudio, STAAD Pro, Modflow, Watercad, Primavera, MSP, Latex.
