Have worked in academia for 31 years in the disciplines of Sociology, Legal Studies, Globalization and Politics, Public Health, and Resilience Studies. Research skills in qualitative data collection and analysis, literature reviews, qualitative methodologies, report writing, drawing conclusions, and writing publications. My main research projects have been as follows: Developing a psychosocial model for personal mental health resilience; Exploring food access in South Australia; Developing a tactical, operational, and strategic tool for Australian Defence Force aid operations in the Pacific Islands; Exploring the effects of misinformation and disinformation during COVID; Exploring the resilience of Australia's deterrence effect; Developing a drought resilience tool for councils and cross-region organisations; and Developing a collaborative framework for the wine industry and the emergency management sector. I have also taught in higher education in the disciplines of Sociology, Legal Studies, Globalization and Politics, and Nursing. I also have extensive experience in community building and am currently a founding Board member of a US-based start-up.
