Profile Summary

With over a decade of experience in plant science, agronomy, and biotechnology, I specialize in crop improvement, sustainable farming, and advanced research to enhance agricultural productivity. My expertise spans crop breeding, genetics, molecular biology, pest management, and precision agriculture. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Guelph, I conducted research on plant biotechnology and cannabis science, focusing on secondary metabolites, environmental factors affecting plant growth, and in vitro propagation techniques. Additionally, I have experience in soil microbiome analysis using qPCR and sequencing to enhance soil health and crop productivity. At Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), my postdoctoral research focused on Eucalyptus in vitro propagation, the effects of abiotic stresses on Eucalyptus growth and development, and tree-environment interactions. This work contributed to improving Eucalyptus resilience to environmental stress and optimizing its growth for commercial and ecological applications. As a Crop Coordinator, I have led agricultural operations, introduced innovative agri-tech solutions, and optimized natural resource use for wheat, barley, maize, canola, sorghum, flax, sunflower, and medicinal plants. My work has focused on integrated pest management (IPM), soil fertility enhancement, and improving crop resilience to environmental stress. I hold a PhD in Plant Biotechnology and have authored more than 40 ISI-indexed publications. Additionally, I have served as a reviewer, editorial board member, and guest editor for multiple scientific journals. My work integrates cutting-edge biotechnology with practical agronomy to support sustainable agricultural development and food security.
